Through this site, I reflect on my experiences as a CIT. I discuss about the Counseling Dispositions, that have guided me and will continue to guide me in this beautiful, and transformative field that I hold so dear. I hope this page relflects my hard work, dedication and excitement on whatt the future has in store for me: Ghia. "
My Story
As a 29- year old, young, Jamaican-American woman, I have just now begun to scratch beyond the surface level of who I thought I was. Or maybe who I thought I was supposed to be. I have come to learn that since the beginning, perhaps one's most pertinent journey comes with deconstructing the boxes and beliefs we have been given, and peeling back the layers that hide the true essence of our souls, and learn to be true in that. I have come to learn that this journey is never- ending, and I'd even dare to say that perhaps this journey continues after our time on Earth has concluded.
I have learned to embrace the journey. I am slowly learning to let my hair down and feel in the breeze and rejoice in each day and continue to find and live in my true self. I am many things: A wife. A mother. A student. A daughter sister and friend, but most of all I am Ghiavonna, and I am starting to believe what a blessing that truly is.
